NAMI Brazos Valley is excited to continue our new series called “Help and Hope” we meet quarterly at our NAMI Office is Bryan. We have feature speakers on a variety of mental health topics. Mental Health Awareness Luncheon

  • Ending Stigma at Texas A&M with MSC LEAD
    NAMI BV is pleased to partner with student groups such as MSC LEAD, Psych Club, and Active Minds at Texas A&M University to bring awareness to mental illness and break down stigma.
  • Free support groups for individuals and family members are held every Tuesday at 6:30 pm at 3705 South College Avenue, in Bryan TX.
  • The Mayor proclaimed that "May is Mental Health Awareness month!" on April 30, 2018 at the NAMI BV home office.
  • NAMI Basics for Parents is a free, 6-week education program for parents and family caregivers of children and teens who are experiencing symptoms of a mental illness or whom have already been diagnosed.
  • Family&Friends Class is a free 4 hour presentation about mental health. Several classes scheduled. Email for more information.
  • Mental Health First Aid classes empower community members with the steps to take in a mental health emergency. New! Become a certified trainer! Classes forming now - Email for more information!
  • Chi Phi Beta and Jody Schulz being featured in The Battalion. You can read the article by clicking on the picture.
  • Lindsey Ward, incoming President and Logan Baylor of Texas A&M Fusion promoted NAMI Brazos Valley and Mental Health Awareness in April at Lupa's Coffee on 5/7/18.
  • NAMI Smarts for Advocacy is a hands-on advocacy training program that helps people transform passion and lived experience into skillful grassroots advocacy. Learn to tell YOUR story in a way that calls for action.
  • Help and Hope is a monthly series offered at the NAMI BV Office on the third Thursday of every month. Email for more information!
  • Maya Lazarus reviewed her book "Through the Rabbit Hole:One Family's Bipolar Success Story". Those attending the event on 4/19 asked questions and learned that recovery is a daily process, recovery is becoming better, not normal, and we all have to ask the hard questions to help those we love.
  • NAMI's Veteran Peer Support Specialist is educated on a variety of topics related to veterans and mental health! Homefront is a free educational class for veterans and military families. Email to sign up.
  • NAMI BV is so grateful for an anonymous donation of $10,000! This generous donation will be used to help keep the mental health services we provide FREE!
  • Thank you Hairstock for organizing the Halfstock fun night fundraiser for Mental Health Awareness and NAMI Brazos Valley! We couldn't provide classes and education to families impacted by mental health issues without caring friends like them!
  • NAMI assisted United Way in 211 education outreach in Brenham.
